Rules and Policies
Check-in is 4:00pm to 6:00pm. A late check-in must be pre-arranged with the InnKeepers prior to the check-in date. A late arrival with no notification made with prior with the InnKeppers a $50.00 late fee will be added to the room rate. If there is no late check-in arrangements made with the InnKeepers, the room will not be held and may be rented out to new Guests.
Check out is at 11:00 am. Please abide by this as we need time to clean and get room ready for next guests.
No smoking permitted in home. Please smoke outside an ashtray is provided on front patio.
No burning of candles allowed in bedrooms. There are LED candles available that you can use. They are actually quite real looking
Please be courteous and keep televisions and radios at a reasonable volume.
Excess alcohol use is prohibited and intoxicated behavior will result in being asked to leave establishment. No refund of room payment will be given.
Please talk with innkeeper regarding extra visitors while you stay. If you have 1 or 2 guests that would like to come visit you here that is just fine, however groups of friends will be prohibited as Contented Cottage is equipped for only guests who are staying with us.
A 10 day notice of cancellation is required for full refund of deposit. Less than 10 days you will be fully charged and given a gift certificate to use of equal value for later reservation date. The issued gift certificate must be redeemed within 1 year of issue and is non transferable. A $30.00 processing fee will be charged if the reservation is made and cancelled through a third party vendor.
Cancellations for event weekends require a 31 day notice.
All Cancellations must be made directly to the Contented Cottage Bed & Breakfast business phone at (507)301-3787.
Being that this is a small company that relies on a limited income and due to the unfortunate events of guests not showing we now have had to implement a 50.00 deposit that will be collected at the time of your reservation. This is fully refunded if you follow the cancellation policy. No refund for no shows.

Voice mail messages can be left by the guest, but the guest must leave a valid phone number to be reached at so the owners can call for confirming the cancellation. E-mail messages or text messages will not be excepted as a valid room concellatiion. Guests trying to cancel a room reservation through the above stated invalid means will be subject to the full room rate charge for the reserved room.
